Suzanne (Isenor) Horne

Horne (Isenor), Suzanne - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Suzanne Horne on January 7, 2024 after a brief illness in QEII, Halifax.

The daughter of Clifford and Loretta Isenor, Suzanne was born in Enfield. She married Stephen Horne in 1976 and they had over 48 wonderful years together.

Suzanne worked as a teachers aid and ran a sewing machine and quilt shop. Designs and patterns were her passion. She loved quilting with friends and having wine nights with the neighborhood ladies.

Suzanne was a scout leader and former president of minor hockey. She learned braille and sign language to help teaching children. She loved being involved with her kids and the lives of the thirty-five foster children she loved while in her care. 

Suzanne is survived by her family, Stephen, Brandon, Clayton, Stephanie and Siobhan; brothers, Michael, Jim (Charlotte), Tommy, Neil (Paula); grandchildren, Jensen Horne, Jolie Potter, Benjamin and Emily Corrigan.

Suzanne is predeceased by her mother, Loretta; father, Clifford; and daughter, Sarah (Scott) Corrigan.

Celebration of Life to take place in Riverview United Church Hall, 760 Highway 2, Elmsdale on Monday, January 13, 6-9 p.m.

Arrangements under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
