Scott (Cotter), Joan Alicia - With great sadness, our beloved wife, mother and friend passed on January 7, 2025.
Through her strong will, she survived to her 85th birthday under the diligent care of the devoted staff of Cedarstone Enhanced Care. Joan was born in 1939 to Ken and Ethel Cotter.
She is survived by her husband, George Scott with whom she recently celebrated 66 yrs of marriage; daughter, Brenda (Ron); sons, Robert, Brian (Wanda) and Darren; her remaining sibling, Richard Cotter. She enjoyed and treasured her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Together, George, Joan and their four children enjoyed 10 years living in Massachusetts until their return in 1976 to live in Truro where they continued to raise their children. Joan was a devoted stay at home wife and mother. Throughout her life our mother enjoyed camping and the many antique vehicles dad built. Later in life, Joan enjoyed old time music and you would often catch her playing the spoons at one of the many local music gatherings.
As per Joan’s wishes there will be no funeral or visitation. Cremation has taken place.
Joan will live in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Her family will celebrate her life through cherished memories.
