Harnish, Gerald Raymond – Age 91 of Upper Musquodoboit, passed away peacefully in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on July 23, 2024 with family by his side.
Born in Sheet Harbour Passage, he was a son of the late Eldon and Venita (Jewers) Harnish.
Gerald was an avid Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs fan, never missing a game. He enjoyed playing cribbage, bluegrass music and working in his woodpile.
He will always be loved and missed by his daughters, Veneita Keating and Violet (Dan) Skates; granddaughters, Brandy (Fred), Katrina (Ryan); great-grandsons, Ethan, Braxton, Tyrion; sister, Ruth (Philip); brothers, Dennis (Rhoda), Ben, Joe (Tammie), Mike (Mary); sister-in-law, Jessie; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Stella; brothers, Doug, Murray (Jean); sister-in-law, Della; companion, Esther; and step-mother, Maud (Fleming) Harnish.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. David LeBlanc officiating.
