Cecelia (Barnes) Jamieson

Jamieson (Barnes), Cecelia – 1953 - 2024

In the early hours of Tuesday February 20, 2024, lovingly surrounded by family, Cecelia slipped away to be reunited with her beloved husband, Howie.

A woman whose hands were seldom idle, she created many beautiful things using her talents in knitting, crocheting, and painting.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael and Robert for being the Mom who cheered them on in sports, for welcoming any and all of their friends for meals and sleepovers. Everyone was made to feel welcome at the Jamieson’s. She encouraged them as they grew into men and started families of their own. She instilled strong values in them. Her legacy of kindness and concern for others will live on through her boys.

Cecelia saw the values in life's "little things" that so many of us overlook. The daily calls to those she loved and the stories from each of her grandchildren about their accomplishments. She enjoyed sharing time outside by the fire on a calm summer night and the hunting adventures shared with Howie.

Cecelia was predeceased by her father, George Barnes and "Papa Charlie" Gallant;

brothers, Edward and Richard; and sisters, Brenda and Florence.

Cecelia leaves behind and will be sadly missed by her mother and best friend, Hazel Gallant; loving sons, Michael, Dartmouth; Robert (Shannon), Dean; brothers, Gordon, PEI; George (Silvie), Quebec; sisters, Jessie (Kevin), Stewiacke; Millie (Randy), Ontario; Darlene (Rick), Hilden; Sharon (Paul), Aberdeen; Kelly (Sharon), Halifax.

Cecelia will be remembered with love by her grandchildren who truly lit up her life, Jesse, Jayden, Cortland, Javier, Christopher and Jordan.

She was also survived by many nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.

"In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there ♥️ "
