Stevens, Harvey Melvin - age 62, of Head of Jeddore, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024, at home surrounded by family, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was born the son of Frank Stevens of Owls Head, and the late Connie (Siteman) Stevens.
Harvey was a steamfitter/pipefitter by trade, retiring in 2020 from Halifax Dockyard. Since retiring, Harvey enjoyed his days driving his truck around the community visiting his many friends and family. He was always lending a helping hand (whether you wanted it or not). Harvey enjoyed driving his 1968 Beaumont “Lola” and going to car shows with Skelator, Chucky and Tiffany. He also liked boating.
Harvey is survived by his long-time friend/partner, Paula Crane; his children, Britney Stevens (Chris), Nathan Stevens (Kelly/Kaitlyn); stepchildren, Lyndon Crane (Kaslyn), Chrissy Crane (Jamie); grandchildren, Leviathan, Azreal and Cameron; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Harvey was very close to his uncles, Danny and Dave Siteman; cousins, Charlene Dixon and Darren Stevens.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24th, at 11 a.m., in Jeddore United Baptist Church. A family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jeddore United Baptist Church, West Jeddore Cemetery or a local SPCA.
