Garden, David Roderick -age 73, of Charlottetown, PEI passed away on February 14, 2024 in Vimy Court, Truro, Nova Scotia.
David was born in Middleton, NS to H.J. “Bud” Garden and Anna (MacDonnell) Garden. He attended high school in Summerside, where he met and married Janice (Langley) Garden. Although separated, they remained close throughout his life. He attended Holland College and continued to further his skills throughout his life to realize his goals. He worked for Parks Canada in many positions, always advancing, and retiring as the General Works Manager in Fundy National Park, New Brunswick. David enjoyed working for Parks Canada, and especially getting to live in a variety of beautiful National Parks across Canada. David grew up in a military family and developed his love for new experiences and travel early in life. David was passionate for British motorcycles and classic cars. He enjoyed the challenge and the rewards of restoring and maintaining these himself.
David was preceded in death by his father, H.J. “Bud” Garden; and his sister, Susan Lapoint.
David is survived by sons, Peter, Shawn and David; separated wife, Janice Garden; siblings, Nora, Kathryn, Michael, Stephen, Paula, Janice, John, Sandra; his mother, Anna; grandchildren, Austin, Eric, William and Kaylee.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 p.m., on March 23 in Enfield Fire Hall.
