Workman, Robert “Bob” Harold - Age 81, of Fletchers Lake, Nova Scotia, passed away on February 3, 2024 in his home.
Born in St. Thomas, Ontario, he was a son of the late John and Annie (Green) Workman. Bob will be remembered as a people person with the gift of gab who relished any chance to tell a great story with a twinkle in his eye. This served him well in a long career in sales. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved watching all sports. He was ready to take on any challenge including operating a hobby farm for over 20 years in his free time where he developed a love for horses and harness racing. Above all, was his admiration, love and support for his family. He especially enjoyed entertaining the grandchildren and proudly watching them grow up while cheering them on in all their endeavours.
He will be sadly missed by sons, Terry (Hope), South Maitland; Scott (Lorraine), Enfield; Brent (Heather), Kingston, Ont.; grandchildren, John, Jocelyn (Nick), Ben, Graeme, Anna; great-grandsons, Blay, Hunter; many dear family and friends.
He was predeceased by Florence (Jollimore), the love of his life and wife of 53 years; and
his sister, Jean.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
At his request there will be no funeral service. A private Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later date. His burial will be in Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
