Ballantyne, William Lester – Age 71, of Pictou. The family is saddened to
announce his passing on December 28, 2023 with C.O.P.D. and a perforated ulcer.
He was the son of William and Etta (Gilroy) Ballantyne.
Bill worked at Stanfields in Truro for many years. He moved to Pictou in 1997 and started cooking for a living. He did that until retiring from the Pictou Lodge in 2017. He was a loving husband, brother and friend. If he had something and even thought that you needed it, he would gladly give it to you.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen and sister, Grace.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Keith; daughter, Michelle and niece, Mary.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Cremation has taken place.
