Stoddard, Sharon Elsie – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Sharon Elsie (Grant) Stoddard, age 81, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, with family by her side. She was a daughter of the late Perry and Marguerite (Day) Grant.
Sharon was a long-time resident of Meaghers Grant, and spent many years working at River Oaks Golf Club. She loved fishing, bingo, and baking, including her delicious cherry pie and her famous cheesecake and carrot muffins.
Sharon is survived by her sister, Judy Kerr; her loving children, Darryl (Jessie), Darlene (Garnet) Boutilier, Elaine (Steve) Venturini, and Sheila (Max) Paddock. She is equally missed by her grandchildren, Melissa, Brent, Michelle, Heather, Corey, Brett, Kyle, and Katie, all of whom she cared for deeply and took joy in having a hand in raising throughout their lives. She was predeceased by her brother, James; sisters, June Robinson and Linda Sullivan.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative. A family burial will follow at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
