Samson, Donald Charles – Age 73 of Meaghers Grant. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Donnie. He passed peacefully on January 11, 2020 in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital with his wife Linda and family by his side. Originally from Hubbards, he was the son of the late David and Eula Samson.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda (Graham); sisters, Judy Theriault (Rene), Shirley Perrier; brothers-in-law, Jim Graham (Sandra) and Bobby Perrier. He was sadly predeceased by his son, Timothy in 2013.

Donnie was a stubborn, tough, generous, patient, and don’t forget stubborn, man. He had a love of animals and children and always managed to see the good in everyone. He would go above and beyond to help out anyone who needed it.
While he was a proud and supportive father in all aspects, that also carried over into his title of uncle. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his dry wit, sarcastic sense of humour, and always remember him for his love and generosity. While his smiles weren’t handed out freely, his love was. We know that he’s been reunited with his beloved Timmy, and we know he is definitely smiling now.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 18 from 1-2:30 p.m. in Meaghers Grant Community Hall. Memorial donations may be made to SPCA, Hope for Wildlife or any animal shelter.
