Fahey, James Lester – of Maitland. It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Jim in Colchester East Hants Health Centre on September 14, 2018. Born in East Noel, he was a son of the late Austin and Marguerite (Fletcher) Fahey.
He was an outdoorsman, enjoying many years working in the woods and growing sods for Elmsdale Landscaping. Jim always enjoyed his time at the hunting camp and the campground. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend to all.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Lake); sons, Lonnie (Reina); Jamie; grandchildren, Hayley, Amelia, Roger, Rey and Gabriela. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, LeBlanc and Rogar.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Sunday, September 16, at 2 p.m. in Maitland Fire Hall. A private burial will be held at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
