Marchand, Mary Alice “Claudette” – Age 74 of Lower Sackville, passed away August 19, 2017, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Ludger and Eva (Bouffard) Aucoin.
Most of Claudette’s working years were as a secretary with Royal Bank. She was a member of the 50-Plus Club, Seniors Club, and the brown hall in Beaver Bank.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she will always be missed by husband, Ron; children, Charlene (Craig), Stephen (Marie), Lisa; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Yvette Fancy, Linda (Bill) Ashton; brother-in-law, Claude Lavoie; sister-in-law, Debbie Wilson; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Jeanine Lavoie; brother, Paul.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Friday, from 10-10:45 a.m., and funeral service will be at 11 a.m., both in St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Lower Sackville, with Father Bryan Sabourin officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia would be appreciated.
