Miller, Florence Matilda – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Matilda Miller, age 79, Middle Musquodoboit, on February 23, 2015, in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital, Middle Musquodoboit. Born in Middle Musquodoboit, she was a daughter of the late John and Alice (Annand) Rogers. Florence was a member of Middleton United Church and a member of U.C.W. She enjoyed doing word books, jigsaw puzzles, and attending merchandise bingo.
Surviving are son, Ted (Gina); daughter, Glenda; grandsons, Trevor and Bradley; brother, Clarence (Lois); sisters, Jessie, Frances; sisters-in-law, Kaye and Connie. She was predeceased by her husband, Sidney; daughter Mary Elizabeth, in infancy; brothers, Stanley and Bill; sister-in-law, Kathleen “Boots”; and brother-in-law, Frank.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Thursday, at 2 p.m. in Middleton United Church, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Reception to follow downstairs in the church. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
