Poole, Ernest Allen – Age 58, Nine Mile River, passed away February 18, 2015, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Hazel (Evans) Poole, Halifax, and the late Jack Poole. Ernie loved nature, animals, camping, fishing, and visiting Newfoundland. He was an amateur photographer who enjoyed taking photos pertaining to nature. In 2013, he retired from Metro Transit, where he had worked for 28 years as a welder. He and his mother enjoyed their regular Monday outings shopping for bargains.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Hollett; brother, Jim (Lynn), Middle Musquodoboit; niece Janelle Poole (Darek Mihocka), Seattle, Wash.; nephew, Chris (Natalie) Poole, Lantz; step-daughter, Natasha Beals, Dartmouth.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Ernie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
