Woodman, Julia Ann – Age 96, East Jeddore, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2016, in the Birches Nursing Home, Musquodoboit Harbour. Born in Boxey, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Alecia (Vallis) Skinner. She retired from BC Tel, and then she and her husband spent summers in Boxey and winters in Florida. Julia loved gardening and all kinds of crafts, was an excellent seamstress, but most of all, she loved genealogy.
Julie was predeceased by her husband, Bill; sisters, Ella Faircloth, Ivy Miles; brother and sister in infancy. She is survived by her stepson, Allen, Vancouver, B.C.; sister, Eleanor Keeping, East Jeddore; many nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia and Florida.
Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday until time of funeral at 2 p.m., both in St. John’s Anglican Church, Oyster Pond, Rev. Andrew Mortimer officiating. Interment will be held in Newfoundland. Donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Boxey, N.L., or a charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
