Jennex, Iona – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Iona A. Jennex, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Born in Ostrea Lake, she was a daughter of the late George and Jessie (Johnstone) Williams.
She is survived by daughters, Heather (Gary) Baker, Vera (Everett) Hopkins; grandsons, David (Debbie) Baker, Darrel (Veronica) Baker, Wayne (Lisa) Hopkins, Doug (Terri) Hopkins; granddaughter, Angela Hopkins; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Noreen (late Frank) Thomson; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by husband, John W.; brother, Donald (Reta) Williams; sisters, Kaye (Fred) Brothers, Josephine (Walter) Bayers.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m., both in Jeddore United Baptist Church, Head Jeddore, with Rev. Aubrey Deslatte officiating. Reception to follow. Committal will be in Oyster Pond Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jeddore United Baptist Church. No scents, please.
