Lesley Hinds-Colley

Hinds-Colley, Lesley - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lesley Hinds-Colley on Sunday, December 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Lesley was born in Comox, Vancouver Island, BC, where her late parents, James and Lorene (Winnifred), were stationed at the Air Force Base. Lesley and her beloved husband, William Colley, who survives her after nearly 22 years of marriage, set out on a new chapter of their lives. Together, they journeyed from Vancouver to East Preston, NS where they built a life filled with love, dedication, and a shared commitment to each other, which became the solid foundation of their home.

Lesley was a lover of life, she brought joy wherever she went. She radiated warmth and kindness, never judging anyone and always welcoming people with open arms. Lesley’s infectious laugh, boundless energy, and zest for life made her the most outgoing and friendliest person you could ever meet. Lesley loved to dance and sing, filling every room she entered with music and joy. Lesley also had a deep love for animals, a passion that was evident in the way she cared for every creature she encountered, she showed compassion and kindness to all living things. Her home was always open not only to friends and family but also to the animals that found comfort and love in her care.

But above all else, she was a devoted lover of family, cherishing every moment spent with those she held dear. Lesley cherished her role as a devoted mother to her two beloved sons, Riley and Jace. They were her pride, her joy, and her greatest accomplishments, a testament to the boundless love and dedication she poured into their lives. Her happiest moments were those spent with family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her love was a gift that touched everyone in her life, and her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we celebrate the life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Lesley’s bright light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
