Ralph Thomas "Tommy" Singer

Singer, Ralph Thomas “Tommy” - Age 61 of North Salem, passed away peacefully January 9, 2025 with his wife by his side.  Born in Halifax and raised in Georgefield, he was a son of the late Ralph and Eleanor (Waller) Singer.

Tommy will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Cheryl; daughters, Michelle (Robert), Lee-Anne (Jeff), Cindi (Brian); son, Shawn (Tina); grandchildren, Carson, Hailey, Trent, Sawyer, Arianne and Eleanor. Another one of Tommy’s favourite titles was “Uncle Tom”. He had a very special place in his heart for all his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, but especially his niece, Brenda (Carl). He will also be missed by his best buddy, Rockie.

Tommy was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Linda and Wanda; as well as his step-son, Joel; and in-laws, Shirley and Norman MacIntyre.

Tommy spent the first part of his younger years working in the woods with Frank until he got his class 3 and drove a dump truck for the better part of his life, mostly and up until his illness for Elmsdale Landscaping. Tommy took great pride in his vehicles and would be found detailing them often and would love to deck them out in LED lights. Tommy enjoyed taking drives in his side by side, Sunday drives around Nova Scotia, a good meal and generally enjoying his life with Cheryl.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Dr. Rayson, his oncologist; Dr Henderson and the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit in Colchester East Hants Health Centre. Your kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed.

No visitation or funeral by request. A Celebration of Life will be held in Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 111, Shubenacadie, on Sunday, January 19 at 3 p.m.
