Johnson (Reid), Sherry Lynn - Age 60 of Upper Musquodoboit, passed away in Colchester East Hants Health Centre on August 8, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Brantford, Ontario she was a daughter of Shirley (Shaw) Isenor, Truro and the late Graham Reid and step-daughter of the late Earl Isenor.
Sherry was a lover of animals and nature. She enjoyed being outside working in her blueberry field and building pastures for her horse, Wes. In more recent years she took up knitting and was a natural talent, making sweaters for many family members. She also enjoyed baking - bread and rolls were her specialty.
Sherry is survived by her loving partner, Guy LeBlanc; her children, Tim Reid, Jacob Johnson (Chelsea), both of Truro; grandson, Lloyal; step-children, Jennifer (Adam), Jessica (Tyler), Nicholas Johnson, Scott Johnson; step-granddaughter, Autumn; brother, Brian (Deborah), Lawrencetown; sister, Michele (Larry Wilson), Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews. Sherry will be missed by special friends, Tina Lismore, Jo Ellen Strickland and cousin, Betty. She will also be missed by her horse, Wes; dogs, Keta, Jasmine, Kallie; and her five cats.
The family would like to thank the VON for Sherry’s in home care during her illness, the Oncology staff and the Palliative Care team in CEHHC, including the attentive care of Dr. Henderson. Also, Dr Willows, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be at a later date.
