Rogers, Kathryn “Kaye” Vida May – age 93 of Enfield, passed away August 20, 2024 in The Magnolia Continuing Care with family by her side.
Born in Dutch Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Blanchard and Anna (Isenor) Ashley.
Family was the most important part of Kaye’s life. She was passionate about quilting, sewing, knitting and cooking. For those who knew Kaye best knew that she was feisty, quick-witted and enjoyed a good game of cards.
She will always be loved and missed by daughters, Cindy-Lee (Jamie) Stevens, Valerie (Greg) Hines; daughter-in-law, Sandy; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with the 14th on the way; brothers, Murray (Linda), Reid (Carolyn); sister, Ferne; and sister-in-law, Helen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; son, Philip; daughter, Anna-Marie; brothers, Wayne and Dwight; sister, Elva “Diddy” (Currie); and brother-in-law, Lawrence.
Cremation has taken place.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30 at 11 a.m. in St. George’s Anglican Church, Dutch Settlement with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
