Myers, Lawrence “Kirk” – Age 71 of Barney’s Brook (Lantz) passed away July 20, 2024 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro following a lengthy battle with cancer and dementia.
Born in Barney’s Brook, he was a son of the late Eugene and Blanche (Dalrymple) Myers.
Kirk loved to be outdoors especially on his tractors, whether it be gardening, mowing grass, logging or plowing snow. He was very adept at building his own gear by looking at someone else’s and taking pictures of it. Kirk was a skilled mechanic working on fixing machinery and rebuilding engines. He worked for Nova Automotive, Shaw Group and retired from Cat Rentals. He enjoyed hanging out in the garage with his brother, Keith and friends, Phillip and Earl Isenor and his cousin, Barry Roberts.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn “Pip” (Jordan); son, Kirby (Bunpheng “Skye”); granddaughters, Summer, Abigail; siblings, Keith (Shirley), Jane (Barry) Isenor; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Helen (Larry) Ryan.
Cremation has taken place.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, 1 p.m. in Oakhill Cemetery, Milford.
In memory of Kirk, he wished everyone to enjoy a piece of apple pie.
