Callaghan, Christine Joy – It is with great sorrow that the family of Christine Joy Callaghan announces her passing. She lost the fight against the infection in her lungs and passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 28, 2024 in Victoria General Hospital.
Born in 1964 in North York, Toronto, Christine spent much of her childhood in Truro with parents, Ruth and Frank Pulsifer along with her two siblings, Michael Pulsifer and Gillian (Pulsifer) Yorke. After her marriage in 1991, she moved to Stewiacke where she worked as a noon hour supervisor first at East Stewiacke Elementary and later Winding River Consolidated.
Christine graduated from vocational school with a degree in graphic design. She enjoyed sewing, tole painting and was always trying a new craft.
She is survived by ex-husband, James Callaghan; daughter, Cora; mother, Ruth Pulsifer; brother, Michael; and sister, Gillian Yorke (Jim).
She was predeceased by father, Frank Pulsifer.
Private family service was held April 5, 2024.
May she walk unburdened in the light of our Lord Jesus Christ.
