Fisher (Lothier), Marlene Frances - passed away in Dartmouth General Hospital on March 7, 2024. Born in Sydney in 1938, she moved to Dartmouth in 1965 and lived there until her death.
Marlene leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Ray; sisters-in-law, Kaye and Brenda; and brother-in-law, Maxwell.
Marlene was predeceased by her son, John, and parents, Joseph & Clara; brothers, Paul and Bobbie; and sisters, Josie and Jane.
Marlene worked as Secretary-Treasurer for Maritime Communications until retirement in 2000. After retirement she enjoyed taking bus tours to the USA and Canada.
Marlene enjoyed spending time at the camp, feeding the hummingbirds and other birds. She also enjoyed watching the antics of the squirrels and chipmunks.
She looked forward to going to coffee houses, bluegrass festivals, and church suppers with her Moose River Road friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by Marlene’s request.
Donations may be made to Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
