Carroll, Lawrence Allen – Age 74, of Dean passed away March 11, 2024 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro following a brief illness. Born in Upper Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Walter and Doris (Heley) Carroll.
Lawrence’s working years were spent mainly in the local sawmills. Upon retiring, he enjoyed woodworking making many crafts, reading western novels, hunting and fishing in his younger years. He liked being in the maple woods in the springtime. Lawrence enjoyed his guitar music and attended many jam sessions.
He will always be loved and missed by son, Chris; daughter, Jennifer (Andrew); granddaughters, Alaina, Carmyn, Brianna; sisters, Gladys (Cyril) Lemmon, Florrie Carroll; sister-in-law, Betty Carroll; brother-in-law, Leon; sisters-in-law, Roseley, Darlene; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rita (Lemmon); brother, Stanley; grandson, Marshall; brother-in-law, David; sisters-in-law, Sheila and Betty.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation will be Thursday, 6 – 8 p.m. and funeral service Friday at 2 p.m., both in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean with Rev. David LeBlanc officiating.
Burial will be in Lemmon Hill Cemetery.
