Myers (Jordan), Carolyn “Pip” – Age 68 of Barney’s Brook (Lantz) passed away November 7, 2024 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro from a sudden bout of pneumonia following a more than year-long battle with lung cancer.
Born in Dutch Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothea “Doll” (Hines) Jordan.
Pip loved spending time with her family and friends, always visiting and having them over to play cards and board games, hosting summer barbecues and swimming. She worked hard at various office jobs throughout her career and was known for her witty sense of humour and forming strong bonds with her colleagues. She also built close online relationships playing poker and other games.
In her spare time, Pip enjoyed doing crafts such as stained glass and crocheting. She had a small business, Pips Ceramics, where she made ceramic pottery with her husband Kirk and their best friends Irene and Phillip Isenor and they hosted painting groups and lessons. As her mobility became more of a challenge, she thoroughly enjoyed visits from friends, Lori, Irene; sister, Chris; cousins, Peggy, Trudy, Norman and Theresa where they would share stories and laugh about old times.
Devoted to her family, Mom was always there when called upon for a helping hand or advice. She was the family organizer and bookkeeper and planned all gatherings and vacations. She was a steadfast supporter of her son Kirby and his wife Skye and adored her grandchildren Summer and Abigail whom she loved to spoil and was always there whenever called upon to babysit.
Surviving are her son, Kirby (Bunpheng “Skye”); granddaughters, Summer, Abigail; sister, Christine Brown; brothers Wyman and Dirwood “Dirk” Jordan; siblings in-law Keith (Shirley) Myers, Jane (Barry) Isenor; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased just 3 months ago by her loving husband of 48 years Lawrence “Kirk” Myers. We take comfort that they are reunited again in heaven.
A special thanks to the dedicated staff of the VON and Colchester East Hants Palliative Care team especially Dr. David Henderson, Dr. Cortney Smith, and Nurse Dawn Ross who we credit with healing Mom and giving us another year to enjoy together.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. this Sunday, November 10th in Oakhill Cemetery, Milford.
