MacSwain, Ethel J. – It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my Mom, Ethel J. MacSwain on September 18, 2023 in Shannex Vimy Court, with her loving family by her side.
She was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Barteaux) Burch.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Eddie; son, Randy; grandson, Mark; sisters, Gwen, Peg, Marjorie, Evelyn, Roberta; and brother, Ken.
She is survived by her son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Bonnie; grandson, Troy; granddaughter-in-law, Barb; granddaughters, Taylor, Alysha and Kasey; great-grandson, Keagan; and great great-granddaughter, Ataliyah.
Mom looked forward to her visits and phone calls from her nieces, Patti Ann, Lisa and Kathy in Ontario as well as her visits and bingo games with family friends, Heather and Donna. Mom enjoyed her visits from Robyn and could hardly wait to hear the tales and watch the videos of the “crazy cat”
Mom was loved by all who knew her.
I would like to thank the staff of Vimy Court for the care you all provided to Mom. I would also like to thank the CCAs and nurses that went above and beyond in providing comfort to myself, my wife, our family and friends who spent time beside Mom during her final days.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 30 at 11 a.m. in Bible Hill Cemetery, Warren Drive.
