Albert Austin Ainslie

Ainslie, Albert Austin – Age 86, of Meadowvale, passed away August 9, 2023 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Born in North Salem, he was a son of the late Bruce and Leona (Turpel) Ainslie.

Most of Albert’s working career was in the forestry industry as a machine operator. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening and spending time with family. His loving, caring and thoughtful ways will always be missed by his family.

Surviving are his wife who he adored, Reta (MacPhee) (Wright) Ainslie; sisters, Alice, Edith, Mary, Sarah; brothers, Hedley, Bernie (Barb); step-children who he thought of as his own, Ian (Nancy), Miles (Lynne), Andy (Tammy), Judy (Randy); son-in-law, Wayne; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brother, Robert; sister, Marg; step-daughter, Gloria Stewart.

Cremation has taken place.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, at 3 p.m., in Upper Stewiacke United Church, Rev. David LeBlanc officiating. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke.

Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
