James, Robert “Jesse” Stuart - Age 89 of Meaghers Grant, passed away on July 28, 2023 in Twin Oaks Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour.
Born in Kensington, PEI, Jesse is a 30-year veteran of the Canadian Navy. As a First-Class Petty Communication Officer, he travelled the world and was very proud to have served his country. He was also employed by two banks, RBC and Scotia Bank. Jesse was very good with his hands having built and renovated his own home(s) and building structures, one of them being a barn and multiple small barns and sheds.
Jesse’s boyhood dream was to own a farm. In 2014, that dream came to fruition, having bought 9.1 acres in Meaghers Grant area. He enjoyed helping others, if anyone mentioned a project they needed support with, he would drop everything and help. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours hiking, walking, and gardening. One of his greatest loves was his garden. He spent hours gardening and tending to his blueberry patch.
Jesse is survived by his son, Scott; daughter, Janis. Jesse was predeceased by his life-partner, Mable Evelyn Holmes.
As per Jesse's request, there will not be a formal visitation or funeral service.
The family would like to thank all the medical professionals involved with Jesse's care. You were amazing and Jesse was always well cared for. We are forever grateful!
