Edmonds, Arthur Alexander – Age 90 of Enfield, passed away on July 17, 2023.
Born in Halifax, Arthur was a son of Marjorie Alice and William Edmonds and brother to William, Kenny, Albert, Aileen, Raymond, Jim and Ronnie.
Arthur was recently predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Stella (Wright) Edmonds and daughter, Christine Edmonds.
He is survived by his children, Arthur Jr. (Donna) and Diane (Kevin). He was the pillar of his family, a devoted husband and father, a proud and involved grandfather to Jennifer, Nicole, Emily, Ellen, Shelley, Rebecca and William and a loving great-grandfather of twelve.
Arthur was a dedicated and hardworking craftsman, spending much of his career pursuing his construction business, building many houses and businesses seen today in Bedford and Halifax. Arthur had a passion for living, a love for fishing and cooking, and an infatuation with his fiddle and playing piano. He had a true heart of gold and an endearing and humorous nature that will be missed by all.
The family wants to thank the nurses and staff for their empathy and kindness during his recent visits to Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
A service will be held on July 27 at 2 p.m. in Riverview United Church, Elmsdale. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
