It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Barbara Bowser-Awalt.
Born to Winnifred and Albert Harrison. At the young age of 104, Barbara passed on July 13, 2023, surrounded by family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Everett; son, Guy; second husband, Earle Awalt; brothers, John, Douglas; and sister, Betty.
Barbara graduated from Normal College in 1939 and started her career teaching in Ostrea Lake where she met and married Everett and they were blessed with five children, Marilyn (Keith Baker); Guy (Judy Doucette); Paul (Dawn Sanford); Sandra (Terry Fields); Nancy (Danny Burke). She was a grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Barbara had a great love for all her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered for compassion, strength in faith and unconditional love for family. Special recognition to her friends at Cedar Glen.

A service will be held July 21, at 2 p.m. in Life Branch Church, 10 Lancaster Dr., Dartmouth, NS. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
