Elliott Geddie Henry

Henry, Elliott Geddie – Age 76, of Musquodoboit Harbour, passed away peacefully at home on November 28, 2023 with family by his side.

Elliott was born in Halifax to Beverley and Blanche (Baker) Henry.

During his childhood, he lived in Spryfield, Sunset Acres, and East Jeddore. He spent a lot of time with his family hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors. He also loved hunting and long drives with his wife. He loved cars, loved to tease and joke around. When he got annoyed with someone, he gave the “Henry look”. For most of his life, Elliott worked in the Automotive industry working beside his brothers at the Garage and auto parts store. He spent his last 15 years working at Auto Choice in Dartmouth before retiring in 2020. He always had great rapport with the customers and they loved him. Everyone knew of his love for Tim Hortons, cigarettes, long drives looking for deer and burning rubber on every bridge from Dartmouth to Sheet Harbour. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately called him Grampy and Ampy.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, April (Jeffery), who took care of him right up until his last breath; son, Troy; daughter, Nancy; stepdaughter, Tammie (Jamie); stepson, Paul (Lorri); brothers, Gerald (Donna), Doug; and sister, Evelyn; grandchildren, Ashley, Breanna, Josee, Victoria (Dillan), Tyler, Cody (Carla), Zackery, Anthony, and Calliauna; great-grandchildren, Finnley, Lincoln and Ryleigh; and his brother-in-law, George.

He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Pearl, June, Pat; and brother, Ronnie. Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to health care in some way, through your local hospitals, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
