Mary Ann (Osborne) Duffy

Duffy (Osborne), Mary Ann – We the family of Mary Ann are saddened to announce her passing on November 10, 2023.

Born in Halifax in 1960, she was a daughter of the late Noreen (Garden) and Reginald Osborne formerly of Grand Lake, Halifax County.

Mary Ann is survived by her spouse, Peter Carroll; her daughter, Erin (Brett); her son, Jay (Siénade); grandchildren, Scout, London, Darcey and Layne; siblings, Dana (Linda), Jim (Glenda), Glenda (Richard) and Kathleen (Andre).

Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with family and laughing over a good story. She loved knitting, baking and drives to Martinique Beach or the ‘look off.’ She was thrilled to hold her newest granddaughter, Darcey, just days after her birth. Her daily visits with London and Scout, after she came home from hospital were the highlight of her days. We take comfort in knowing Mom is now in the arms of Nanny and Papa.

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of the health care workers at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of Mary Ann.

As per Mary Ann’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a Celebration of Life on December 3rd from 1- 4 p.m. in Royal Canadian Legion, 299 George St, Stewiacke.

‘Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.’
