Carl Floyd Clark

Clark, Carl Floyd – Salmon River, passed away on October 17th, 2023, at the age of 79. He was a son of George and Thelma Clark. Carl worked several jobs throughout his career, starting in sales at TS Pattillo’s and retiring as the custodian of Jenkin’s Hall at  Nova Scotia Agricultural College. He also worked most of his life at Truro Raceway in various roles, most notably as Associate Judge.

Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jacqueline Clark; daughter, Cheryl; son, John (Lisa); and his greatest gifts, his grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott), Cody (Casey), and Madison (Andrew). Also surviving are his sisters, Marie Weatherbee, Linda (George) Boyce; brothers, Lloyd, Brian (Kathy), Robin; half-brother, Sandy (Cathy); step-sisters, Muriel Shaw, Lois MacKay; step-brother, Frank Johnson.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his granddaughter, Brett-Ashley Clark; brothers, George, Neil, Ronald, Doug, Walter, Gene; step-brother, Jack; step-sister, Pat; step-mother, Gladys.

Carl loved his dogs and cats, spending time at the horse races, the good times he spent with friends at the Legion and watching the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Munroe, the nurses, and staff at Colchester East Hants Health Centre who provided extraordinary care to Carl and his family. Also, thank you to the people who helped on that day. We are extremely grateful for all of you.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, from 3–5 p.m. in Truro Horsemen’s Club.
