Pettipas, Carl E. – Age 78 of Lake Echo, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022 in Sagewood Long Term Care Facility, Lower Sackville. Born in Westphal, he was a son of the late Frederick Pettipas and Annie Mae (Cross) Kelly.
Carl is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dianne (LaPierre) Pettipas; daughter, Carla (Daniel) Baker; granddaughters, Paige Baker and Taylor Baker; great-grandchildren, Landyn, Hailey, Madison; sisters, Dianne Zwicker, Sheila (Bruce) Zwicker, Bernice (David) Nantais, Nancy (Ronald) Atwood, Sherry (Keith) Conrad.
He was predeceased by great-granddaughter, Kynslee in infancy; sister, Judie Saulnier; brothers-in-law, Roland Saulnier and Ross Zwicker.
Carl was retired from HMCS Dockyard after 33 years of service. He was a well known local musician - guitar and vocals, throughout Nova Scotia. His wife and he were avid campers and followed the various Bluegrass and Country festivals. During his early retirement years, he and Dianne spent their winters in Florida making many new friends. He enjoyed golfing and jam sessions with family and friends.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Sagewood especially those in Butterfly Cottage who took great care of him.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
