Jaworski (Winters), Elizabeth Jane - In loving memory of Elizabeth “ Betsy” Jane Jaworski who passed away suddenly in South Branch, on November 18, 2022, at the age of 73. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Kathleen (Cox) Winters. She was the beloved wife of 36 years of Lorne David Jaworski.
Betsy was a nurse at the old Halifax Infirmary and after its closure, she went to the Eye Clinic at the Victoria General Hospital from where she retired in 2004. Betsy was an active member of the C.K.C. and also TOPS in Truro where she made many friends. She was very fond of animals, but particularly her dogs. Smooth Hair Collies, Vicar, Becket, Murdoch and Tavish received the best of food and care as well as training in Rally and Obedience.
Besides her husband, David; Betsy will be sadly missed by her brother, David and his wife, Michelle; niece, Stefanie Winters (Adam Legere) and nephew, Boyer (Susan) Winters; great-niece, Hadley; great-nephews, Oliver and Avery.
Funeral service will be held in Upper Stewiacke United Church on December 4, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Joel Wellard officiating. A reception will follow in Upper Stewiacke Fire Hall from 3-6 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Royal Canadian Legion, Police Association of Nova Scotia, Crime Stoppers or Stewiacke Valley Baptist Church
