Stoddard (Power), June Laura – Age 91, passed away peacefully in her home in Head of Jeddore, surrounded by family on November 16, 2022. She was born to her late parents, Eileen and Ted Power.
She loved the roles of being a Mom and Nan. She loved her family unconditionally and had that love returned. Mom had a gift for touching the hearts of many people she came to know in her life. Mom enjoyed hearing stories of adventures her children and grandchildren experienced. Her great-grandchildren would sit with her playing games and telling their stories, always having fun together, with lots of laughs. In addition to her family, her other passions were spending time in her gazebo with her special friends, Diane and Helen. Mom always enjoyed her music, going for drives, bus tours and other outings. She loved cooking meals for family and friends even at 91 years young.
Being independent, as well as making her own decisions, was important to her right to the very end.
Mom is survived by brother, Edwin Power; loving daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Morash (Ross); Marilyn Stoddard (Dave Smith); Margaret Lever (Charles); grandchildren, Andrew and Mike; Chad and Christina; Jeff and Chris; eight great-grandchildren; a beloved niece, Cheryl; as well as nephews who held a special place in her heart; also her neighbors, the Deleseleuc family who became part of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold; son, Edwin; and sister, Sheila.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
A Celebration of Life will be held November 26 at 2 p.m. downstairs in Jeddore Baptist Church, 8 West Jeddore Road, Head of Jeddore. Interment to follow in St. James Church Cemetery, 9114 #7 Highway, Head of Jeddore.
