Kent, Sidney Fenwick – passed away peacefully at home June 14, 2021. Sidney was the youngest son of Cecil and Annabel Kent. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Sidney is survived by his nieces and nephews, Mary Bartlett, St. John’s, NL; Douglas Burris, Upper Musquodoboit; Roderick Burris (Tomas), Toronto; Susan Burris (John), Dartmouth; Edwin Kent (Cathy), Ottawa; Brenda Radcliffe (Donald), Springhill, NS; Linda English (George), Vauxhall, AB.
He was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Burris, Rita Kent; brothers, Douglas and Percy Kent; niece, Suzanne Kent; brother-in-law, Adam Burris; sister-in-law, Frances Kent.
Sidney actively farmed until he was 81 when a stroke prevented him from doing farm chores. He prided himself on his knowledge of Musquodoboit genealogy and knew who was related to whom, especially in this valley.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
A graveside service will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Hillcrest Cemetery.
