Dean, Leonard Douglas “Lennie” – Age 72 of Dean, passed away February 9, 2020, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Dean, he was a son of the late Lester and Ethel (Rogers) Dean.
Lennie was a truck driver for many years hauling pulpwood, logs, woodchips, as well as Christmas trees and hay. He enjoyed farming and took great pride in the horses that he raised and showed. His granddaughters were his pride and joy.
Surviving are sons, Doug (Melanie), Bible Hill; David, Upper Musquodoboit; sisters, Beverly Andrews, Dean; Lila (Doug) Stewart, Truro; brother, Tony (Karen), Dean; granddaughters, Rebecca and Brianna; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Leland; sister, Melissa Bennett; brothers-in-law, David Bennett and Thomas Andrews.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 15 from 1-3 p.m. in Sharon Presbyterian Church hall, Dean. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
