Taylor, Vivian Georgena – Age 80, of Dartmouth, passed away April 24, 2019 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Dean, she was a daughter of the late George and Ena (MacKay) Dean.
Vivian’s music career started at the age of 15 with her first piano. She and her husband, Robert started Last Chance Band which spanned over 25 years. Times with her family and her love for her grandchildren were most important to her.
Surviving are her husband, Robert; whom she married in 1959; son, Corey (Karen); step-granddaughter, Tammy (Justin), their children Lily, Caitlyn, Evelyn; step-granddaughter, Julia; son, Kendall (Krista), their children, Courtney, Sarah; son, Joseph (Rhonda), their children, Rachael, Chelsey; sister, Nina (John) Manthorne; sister-in-law, Rose Dean; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Freeman.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 29, at 11 a.m. in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, with student minister Calvin Burt officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to St. James United Church general fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
