Cox, Alfred Bentley “Al” – Passed away on December 22, 2019. He is remembered with love by his children, Corinne (John Dicks), Curtis (Gosia), Robert, Jeffrey and Gregory; his grandsons, Matthew and Gregory Dicks and Jon-Luc MacQuarrie-Cox. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Cooper; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Norma; brothers, Robert and Donald.
Al worked for Goodyear, Atmus and Brett Motors, and for himself as Econo Courier. He enjoyed golf and bridge with friends. He was active in the Truro Barbershoppers and served as president of the Truro Music Festival. His favourite place was the summer cottage on the Northumberland Strait which he and Norma built and enjoyed for many years. We will all miss his cheerful and kind presence in our lives. May he rest in peace.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit. A memorial will be held on Saturday, January 25 from 2-5 p.m. in Truro Air Force Club, 22 Cottage Street.
