Mercer, Helen Mary Kathleen – Age 83 of West Jeddore, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital, with her daughters at her side. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Lillian (MacKay) Atwood.
Surviving are daughters, Sharon Dooks, Darlene Langille, Kathleen Mercer, Janet MacMillan, Susan Mercer; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; sons, Clary, Stephen; sister, Margaret Faulkner; brother, Gerry Atwood.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, September 23 at 3 p.m., in St. James Anglican Church, Dolby Hill, with Rev. Andrew Mortimer officiating. Burial to follow in St. James Cemetery, Head of Jeddore. Family flowers only. Memorial donations to Dartmouth General Hospital West Wing 4th Floor would be September 15, 2018 in Dartmouth General Hospital, with her daughters at her side.
