Surviving are his children, Darrell (Sharon), Cathy (Leonard) Osborne, Krista DesBarres (Frankie); grandchildren, Sarah, Larissa, Laurena, Morgan, Wade; four great-grandchildren; sister, Anne; brother, Charlie. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elma Chandler; three children in infancy; two sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., and funeral service will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., both in Gays River United Church, Lori Crocker DM officiating. Burial will be in William Black Memorial Cemetery, Glen Margaret. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Gays River Cemetery Society, or a charity of choice.

Special thanks to his sister Anne, Colchester East Hants VON, and Palliative Care, for all the wonderful care he received.
