Hartlin, Roy Leonard – Age 85 of Middle Musquodoboit, passed away July 30, 2017, in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital. Born in Higginsville, he was a son of the late Judson and Effie (Higgins) Hartlin.
Roy spent many years working in the lumber industry and had a good mind for numbers. He was a dependable, honest and humble man. He enjoyed watching hockey and managed the Musquodoboit Marquis for years. Always proud of his family, both past and present, he will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, the former Reta Dean; children, David (Kathy), Ann (Peter Allen), Lisa; grandchildren, Morgan (Alicia), Nolan (Stef), Bonnie (Mike), Brett (Conway), Rosalie (Steve Mollins), Brant (Serene); seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ivy Bradley, Joyce MacAdam, Elaine Read; brother, Lewis. He was predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Ira.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday and funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m., both in Wittenburg Baptist Church, Pastor David Hodder officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Wittenburg. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
