Ward, Clifford William “Bill” – Wyse’s Corner, passed away tragically on January 7, 2015, two days before his 82nd birthday. Born in Lower Sackville, he was a son of the late Ralph Edward “Sharky” and Edna Mae (Rayner) Ward. Bill contracted bulldozer work for many years and later worked with Department of Highways, becoming superintendent.
Surviving are Christine (John) Kozier, Lake Egmont; Tim Ward (Eric Hill), Pembroke; Wade Ward, Elderbank; Lorelei (Gordon) Dillman, Lake Egmont; Dan (Marion) Lohnes, Burlington, Ont.; Blair Ruggles, Dartmouth; son-in-law, Greg McMullin, Dartmouth; extended family, Janice LaForest, Ecum Secum; Robert Kemp, Jeddore; grandchildren, John (Nicole) Kozier, Peter (Christie) Kozier, Doug McIntyre, Robert Bernard, Kelsey Hartling, Kent (Liz) Hennigar, Codey Hennigar, Chandra Hennigar, Nikita Carstensen, Jeffery and Racheal Dillman; step grandchildren, Steve Bigras, Erika (Jef) Jarmovitch; great-grandchildren, Addison, Carley, Isabelle, William, Madelyn, Lilly; step great-grandchildren, Tori and Kamdyn; siblings, Phyllis Ellis, Ralph, Art (Karen), Merriam (Roy) Hawley, Paul (Cathy). He was predeceased by his wife, the former Ida Raye McAndrew; daughters, Ann Ward (Danny Carstensen), Michelle McMullin; brother, Edward; five siblings in infancy.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in St. Paul’s United Church, 117 Lake Egmont Rd., Antrim, and funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m., in Middleton United Church, 12430 Hwy. 224, Middle Musquodoboit, Rev. Dr. Linda Yates officiating. Burial will follow in Nuttall Hill Cemetery, Antrim. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Nuttall Hill Cemetery or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
