Spiers, David Duncan – Age 74, of Oyster Pond, Jeddore, passed away peacefully in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, on October 21, 2016. David was born in Windsor, Ont., a son of the late Ernest and Ella (Bulmer) Spiers.
Surviving are his son, Daniel (Marcy), and grandchildren, Taylor and Samuel. He is also survived by brothers, Daniel, Ronald, John, Michael, Robert, and their families.
David spent his adult life in Nova Scotia, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating, hunting, and fishing along the Eastern Shore. This enjoyment and appreciation of the outdoor world continued throughout his life, and grew even stronger as the years went by.
Cremation has taken place. A family service will be held at a later date with interment in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Oyster Pond.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
