Manette, Ronald F. “Smelt” - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our brother on September 7, 2024.
Ronald was very excited to soon be celebrating his 65th birthday. Those that knew Ronald best, only referred to him as Smelt, and if you didn't know him, you were one of the few. Ronald was always there for everyone, and if he could help he would. He will be missed by all.
Ronald was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Shirley (Chapman) Manette, West Chezzetcook. He is survived by his siblings, Michael (Ruth), Jimmy (Nancy), Margaret (Gordon), Linda (Jerome), and Deanna (Kenny); many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews whom he loved so much. Ronald was very excited about the upcoming birth of his great-great nephew.
Thank you to his special niece, Tracy for always being there for him.
Ronald was a very simple man and didn't want anything big, so his wishes were for a graveside burial which will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024 at 10:30 am in St. Anslems Cemetery, with Father Nicholas officiating. All are welcome to attend.
Donations in Ronald's memory may be made to Nova Scotia Lung Association.
To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die -Thomas Campbell
