Kathleen "Katie" Helen (Graham) Doyle

Doyle (Graham), Kathleen “Katie” Helen – Age 39, passed away September 8, 2024 at home with her family around her following a two-year battle with cancer.

Katie grew up in Burnside and family and community were a big part of her upbringing. In a family predominately boys - the ladies were treated like Queens, Katie was no exception.

After high school, Katie went on to become an LPN and began working for Nova Scotia Health for the next 18 years. She has impacted so many lives in her care during that time. Katie did not just create friendships but insta-families, biological and chosen alike. She had her NS family and PEI family – but her work family was equally as important. Special thanks to Amanda Crowe, a previous coworker of hers for all her support in the last few weeks.

Katie had many roles in her short time here but her most cherished was that of being a mother. She was active in their lives and loved every minute. This past year, she fully embraced her “hockey mom” role and volunteered as a team manager for the boys team. She and her loving husband of 12 years raised three beautiful children who were the apples of her eye.

She will always be loved and missed by her loving husband, Michael; children, Carly, Will and Casey; parents, Logan and Rhonda Graham; mother-in-law, Jean Doyle; brothers, David (Kristeena) and Danny (Vicki); sisters-in-law, Pam Doyle, Shelley (Kalvin), Cindy (Matt); brother-in-law, Shannon (Nikki); many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Carl Doyle.

A graveside service will be held for immediate family only. In keeping with Katie’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life in Upper Stewiacke Fire Hall on Saturday, September 21 from 5 – 8:30 p.m.

To know Katie was to love her the moment you met her and she was and is still loved so much.
