Marina "Chookie" Creelman

Creelman, Marina “Chookie” – passed away February 27, 2025 with her family at her side.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1959, she was a daughter of the late Hoover and Beverley (Boyd) MacDougall.

She is survived by her siblings, Jack MacDougall (Shirley), Stanley MacDougall (April), Bill MacDougall (Lynn), Frank MacDougall (Kim), Mark MacDougall (Heather), Scott MacDougall (Dina); children, Alana (Chris), Amanda (Rodney), Kenny; grandchildren, Taylor, Xander, Austin, Brooke, Pheonyx, Linden, Jacob, Anthony, Mackenzie, Shelby, Tyson, Makaela, Jaelynn, Jordynn, William, Maisie; great-grandchildren, Niylah and two on the way.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Dave MacDougall, Robert MacDougall, Kim Daniels and Edna Campbell.

Chookie had a heart of gold. She would give you the shirt off her back and her last dollar. She loved taking care of everyone. Her babies were her everything. No one left her home without her asking, “How big is your hungry?” She was always ready to give you a meal.

Time with her friends and family are what kept her going. She made an impact on everyone she met. Chookie was always the life of the party and had friends all over the world.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 14, 4-6 p.m. in Stewiacke Legion Branch #70.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
