Gaetz, Scott Andrew Roy - It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Scott Andrew Roy Gaetz, at the age of 54.
He was a son of Derek Gaetz and Lorraine Power-Homans.
Scott leaves behind his children, Magen Matthews, Scott Matthews, Seth Gaetz, and Noah Perry; grandchildren, Chase and Jaden; sister, Amy Amirault (Allison); brother, Jamie Gaetz (Jessie); nieces and nephews, Austin, Dylan, Kaylie and Amelia.
Scott was predeceased by his stepfather, Gerald Homans; stepbrother, Arthur Homans; and his son, Cody Gaetz.
Scott attended Eastern Shore District High School, Prince Andrew High School and Red Deer College. He went on to study at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and became MEO certified. During his life, Scott enjoyed a variety of different work titles including pipefitter, industrial insulator, national certified safety officer, heavy equipment operator and lobster boat deck hand.
Scott has touched many lives over the years and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
