Newman, Glen Louis – Age 94 of Milford, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025 surrounded by his family.
Born in Carrolls Corner, he was a son of the late James and Winnifred Newman.
Glen had been employed with Maritime Tel and Tel for 37 years and enjoyed 37 years of retirement. He was a great gardener, sharing his bounty with everyone. He grew the best peaches and he made apple pies for all his family and friends at Christmas. Glen loved the time spent at his cottage in Cooks Lake and looked forward to being there from one year to another. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Glen will always be loved and missed by his daughter, Valerie (Kevin Huntley); son, Daryl (Linda); grandchildren, Erica (Jean-Francois) Boucher; Christopher Newman (Gillian Allan); Paxton Huntley, Leeim (Brenda) Huntley; great-grandchildren, Oscar and Farrah Huntley; Atlas Huntley and Noah Boucher; sisters-in-law, Sheila and Shirley Newman; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite; son, Scott; sisters, Ruth, Laura, Helen, June, Fern and Joyce; brothers, Bob, Fred; and half-brother, Harry.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
